Watchmen want to be the people you call when it really matters
Our Experts
Solving the right problem, the right way.
Some challenges are easy to recognise but difficult to understand.
You can see the symptoms: repeated outages, rising risk, slower delivery, failed change, increasing cost or teams working harder without making progress. But the underlying problem remains unresolved, and each attempted fix treats another symptom rather than addressing the cause.
Watchmen brings together a trusted network of expert associates to help organisations understand what is really happening and decide what to do about it.
This is not recruitment or resourcing dressed up as consultancy. We do not start with a person to sell or a role to fill. We start with the problem, then bring together the experience and specialist expertise needed to solve it.

Risk-led, data and evidence-driven problem solving at its best.
We work with evidence, challenge assumptions and look beyond the obvious explanation. The result is a clearer diagnosis, practical recommendations and focused action where it will make a meaningful difference.

With a tiger team, failure is not an option
Gene Kranz never said "failure is not an option", but what he did say was, "We are forever accountable for what we do or what we fail to do. We will never compromise our responsibilities. Competent means we will never take anything for granted. We will never be found short in our knowledge and in our skills.", Gene Kranz - Apollo 13 Flight Director.
How we work
What is a Tiger Team?
A Tiger Team is a small, focused group of trusted specialists assembled around a difficult, urgent or previously unresolved problem.
The principle became closely associated with the Apollo space programme: bring together expertise from different disciplines, define the mission clearly, investigate the evidence, test assumptions and find a workable answer when conventional approaches are no longer enough.
NASA's account of Apollo 13 describes subject-matter experts from NASA centres, government and contractors being brought together to solve four different life-or-death problems with amazing innovative solutions (the "lifeboat", the "square peg fix", the "blind burns" and the command module "cold-boot"), alongside dozens of smaller technical hurdles.
And they never needed to be told that failure was not an option.
At Watchmen, a Tiger Team is built for the challenge in front of us. Sometimes that means one specialist. Sometimes it needs a carefully assembled multidisciplinary team. It never means sending whoever happens to be available.
